Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of my athletes and those that read the articles, follow me on twitter, facebook and other social media outlets. I am going to be taking a 2-3 week break from the site, sort of. I will be working on new features and articles as well as working with new partners and athletes to get ready for the 2011 season. I thought I would take a look back over the year to share with you what has happened and what I am cooking up for 2011.
It has been an amazing and some what emotional year for me. I was dealt a major health issue last year and wasn’t able to finish my 2009 race season. Trained my but off to come back to racing in 2010 to only deal with another health issue the morning of my favorite criterium! Spent the rest of 2010 as a racer trying to regain some form. But you know what? I feel stronger for it and I am happy to say healthy.
I have met amazing people, cyclists, racers, runners and fitness junkies who have inspired me to push myself physically in new directions. I took up running last season in an effort to jump start my fitness and x-training efforts. This has lead to new goals and even some podium finishes as a runner! I will be participating in more running and my first duathlon next fall.
A blog I started 2 and a half years ago “The Coached Cyclist” introduced me to new strengths and relationships. The blog efforts also lead to me becoming a licensed USA Cycling coach this year. While the blog is no longer around all of the articles, tips, reviews, polls and comments live on here at PositivePerformanceCoaching.com
In the short time I have launched the new site I have heard from cyclists all over the world who want to be coached but can’t afford it or are intimidated by the process. Being a coached cyclist is the single best upgrade you can make as a cyclist! Coaching is the best investment in you the engine that powers your cycling and racing goals. I heard what cyclists were asking for and am offering Virtual Coaching services. These services I think you will find are incredibly affordable for the avg cyclist. The virtual coaching services I provide are being used by new Road Racers, Triathletes and Century riders. The new virtual coaching services are also leading to some new offers on group discounts for teams, fittnes groups and even charity ride teams. I look forward to announcing even more details on group programs in 2011.
Well 90+ articles, lots of racing, new friends, tweeting and dreaming there you have it 2010 in a nut shell.
What does 2011 have in store for Coach Rob? More racing, even more friends, fitness, family and new goals.
For PPC I will be developing more content, plans that can be purchased from the site, ebooks, webinars, pod casts, new partnerships and the privilege of training even more cyclists!
So until then here are some links to keep you busy.
